These portraits were done mostly with a carbothello 645 pencil on toned paper for the redish ones, and the darker ones were done with charcoal pencil. Enjoy!

Spare timeI

In my spare time (which I don't have a lot of) I love taking mass amounts of photos. I rarely ever use photoshop. I like trying to create mood with light and setting. I also like crab dinners, balancing on chains, walking my bulldog, and climbing the same old oak I've been climbing for twenty years.

untitled

This was sort of a "filler piece" I did for my show at Whiskey Thieves, It's oil on canvas and based on a photo my friend took of the Santa Cruz harbor. I used a black and white photo of myself to make a stencil.

Hello Kitty suitcase

I painted these for one of my girlfriends friends. She is Japanese and wanted items that represented her heritage hence the Hello Kittys, cherry blossoms, Mount Fuji, and the calligraphy. This is a totally custom job and I have many more and commissions are always welcome. The case is fixed with a polyurethane glossy finish which serves an aesthetic purpose as well as protection from scratches as well as wear and tear.

When Life Gives You

This is a oil painting from my class with Adam Forfang, I wanted to do a simpe composition but have the lemons "ultra cropped" It's also a lot larger than life 22"x28" I had a lot of fun doing it, and am quite happy with the result!
