So for the past year or so I've helped my girlfriend get her blog off the ground by shooting all of her fashion photos for her. This is one of the most recent pics I took. Her blog has really taken off and I'm proud of her for all she's accomplished with it. To view her blog and all the photos I've taken go to www.popcultureafternoon.blogspot.com

Balance Is A Thin Line

This new one is based on a couple of masks from Indonesia. I was really taken with the culture there when I went a few years ago. Everyone there believes that art should be a part of daily life and is essential for living in balance. That is what I was trying to convey with this piece, balance. The checkered patterns represent good and evil in their culture and you find the pattern everywhere as a reminder for them to live their lives with a purposeful balance.

Woman Eating Ice Cream
This is a Wayne Tiebauld mastercopy I did because I love his use of color. He is probably known best for his pastel cityscapes of San Francisco, and hs still lifes of pie's, pastries, and landscapes. His oil paintings of figures aren't well known but to me they are just as visually striking as any other he has done.

Key to my heart
This was my first bronze piece, and I'm very happy with how it turned out. I think it might be a little perverse but the goal I was going for when making it was too get some sort of reaction out of you. Good, bad, I don't care as long it does "something" to get you thinking! This piece is for sale and is one of a kind. The price is $450
